As a new Scout, get a jump on the Scouting Badge.  These two documents are all you need to get your Scout Badge.
  • Repeat the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • Demonstrate the Scout sign, salute, and handshake.
  • Demonstrate tying the square knot (a joining knot).
  • Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath or Promise, Scout Law, motto and slogan, and the Outdoor Code.
  • Describe the Scout Badge.
  • Complete the pamphlet exercises.  With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet, How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse.
  • Participate in a Scoutmaster Conference.  Turn in your Boy Scout application and health history form signed by your parent or guardian, then participate in a Scoutmaster Conference.

Complete these and you will receive your Scout Badge!

Conducting a Board of Review

After a Scout has completed the requirements for any rank or Eagle Palm, he appears before a board of review. Its purpose is to determine the quality of his experience and to also encourage him to continue the quest for the next rank or Palm. Troop 1372 hosts a monthly board of review, to assure Scouts are not delayed in beginning time-oriented requirements for the next rank. Attached is A Guide to Conducting Boards of Review, dated October 2014.
